In January 2005 the Association 1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005 handed in to the Nobel Prize Committee in Oslo the nomination of 1000 women from over 150 countries. The project's goal is to throw light on the global peace work done by women. To this end, a book on the 1000 peace women will be published at the end of 2005, an interactive platform shall contribute to better networking, and a travelling exhibit will make these women's untiring commitment to the cause of peace known to a larger public.
